American Peak Seasonal Produce List - February
This peak seasonal list is for the American states with the Northeast, followed by the South, the Midwest, the Southwest and finally the Western states. Even though other produce will be in season in your area, this list is compiled of ingredients that are at the peak of their season only.


Dormant States - Please note that during the winter months there are many states which become dormant, meaning that peak seasonal growth has completely ceased, due to the climate, especially on the east coast, Midwest and some northern west coast states as well. In these cases, it will be necessary to rely on stored, frozen or canned goods until the spring.

The Northeast – February


MAINE

Brussels Sprouts, cabbage, collard greens, ginger, leeks and mushrooms.

The Southern States – February


ALABAMA
Collard greens and turnip greens.

ARKANSAS
Dormant.

FLORIDA
Avocados, cabbage, cauliflower, celery, grapefruit, oranges, radishes, star fruits and tangerines.

GEORGIA
Brussels sprouts, cabbage, carrots, kale, mushrooms, spinach and turnips.

KENTUCKY
Dormant.

LOUISIANA
Dormant.

MISSISSIPPI
Collard greens, scallions, turnips and turnip greens.

NORTH CAROLINA
Apples, peanuts and sweet potatoes.

SOUTH CAROLINA
Lettuces.

TENNESSEE
Dormant.

Sweet potatoes and Swiss chard.

Beets, cabbage, celery, collard greens, grapefruit, kale, kohlrabi, leeks, lemons and oranges.

Arugula, Swiss Chard, collard greens, kale, lettuces, radishes and winter squash.

OKLAHOMA
Dormant.

TEXAS
Broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, grapefruit, mushrooms, oranges, spinach, sweet potatoes and turnips.


The Western States –February


ALASKA
Dormant.

CALIFORNIA
Avocados, broccoli, grapefruit, lemons, kale, kumquats, mushrooms, oranges, Swiss Chard and tangerines.

COLORADO
Dormant.

HAWAII
Avocados, cabbage, Brussels sprouts burdock, hearts of palm, limes, mushrooms, oranges, rambutans, strawberries and tangerines.

IDAHO
Dormant.
