American Peak Seasonal Food List - April
This peak seasonal list for the American states covers the Northeast, the South, Midwest, the Southwest and the Western states. Even though other produce will be in season in your area, this list is compiled of produce ingredients that are at the peak of their season only. Now that spring has arrived, we are starting to see crops growing in the previous dormant states across America.



The Northeast – April


MAINE
Apples, arugula, lettuce, onions, parsnips, scallions and radishes.

MASSACHUSETTS
Dormant.

NEW HAMPSHIRE
Dormant.

MARYLAND
Maple Syrup

RHODE ISLAND
Collard greens, ginger, kale, lettuce and mushrooms.

CONNECTICUT
Spinach.

NEW YORK
Apples, carrots, onions and potatoes.

VERMONT
Dormant.

PENNSYLVANIA
Asparagus.

NEW JERSEY
Asparagus and spinach.

DELAWARE
Asparagus, lettuce, mushrooms, spinach and turnips.


The Southern States – April


ALABAMA
Beets, cabbage, cauliflower, collard greens, onions, snow peas, spinach, strawberries and turnip greens.

ARKANSAS
Asparagus and lettuce.

FLORIDA
Blueberries, cantaloupe, cucumbers, corn, eggplant, green beans, radishes, strawberries, tomatoes and watermelon.

GEORGIA
Arugula, asparagus, beets, cabbage, lettuce, radish, spinach, strawberries and turnips.

KENTUCKY
Dormant.

LOUISIANA
Artichokes, blueberries, fava beans, green beans, lettuce, radish, scallions, strawberries and turnips.

MISSISSIPPI
Asparagus, collard greens, lettuce, strawberries, Vidalia onions and turnips.

NORTH CAROLINA
Broccoli, lettuce, sweet potatoes and strawberries.

SOUTH CAROLINA
Cabbage and lettuces.

TENNESSEE
Dormant.

VIRGINIA
Asparagus and spinach.

WEST VIRGINIA

MICHIGAN

Dormant.

OREGON

UTAH

WASHINGTON
Asparagus, cauliflower, garlic, lettuce, mushrooms, pears and spinach.
