New England Travel Information

Ashumet Holly Reservation star
Ashumet Holly Reservation is 45 acres of preserved land with a large circular walkway of well-groomed paths that span a little more than two miles. There are many plants and trees here including over a thousand holly trees of eight different species. This is also a great area for bird watching.

Colt State Park Rhode Island star
I love flying kites and there is no better place in New England for kite flying than Colt State Park in Rhode Island. There are six picnic groves available with approximately 300 picnic tables, ten open playfields for baseball, soccer, croquet, badminton and volleyball.

Ellisville Harbor State Park star
Walking along the cliffs above the Ellisville Harbor salt marsh, I startled a large Blue Heron into flight and then fumbled with my camera trying to get a photo of it. You can walk a mile long trail that leads to cliffs above a coastal beach where seals are frequently seen just offshore in winter.

South Cape Beach State Park star
South Cape Beach is over a mile of soft sands that are located between Waquoit Bay and Vineyard Sound in Mashpee Massachusetts. In the immediate area there are also acres of salt marshes and dunes, bordered by pine, oak and holly trees.
